Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how SmartRacePix collects, uses, and stores your personal data. By using SmartRacePix, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address. When you upload a selfie for photo matching, we collect and store that selfie image and generate a face embedding, a numerical representation of your facial features, used solely for matching you to your race photos.

How We Use Your Data

Your email is used for account authentication and to communicate with you about the Service. Your selfie and face embedding are used exclusively to match you to race photos on the platform. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

Biometric Data

SmartRacePix generates face embeddings from selfies you upload. These embeddings are numerical representations of your facial features and are used only for race photo matching. We do not sell, share, or use your biometric data for any purpose beyond matching you to your race photos. You can delete your selfies and their associated face data at any time directly within the app.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which provides our authentication, database, and file storage infrastructure. Firebase may collect anonymous usage and diagnostic data as part of normal platform operation. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Google Firebase is the only third party with infrastructure-level access to our data as our hosting and storage provider. SmartRacePix does not currently serve advertisements but may in the future. If advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated accordingly.

Data Deletion

You can delete your selfies and associated face embeddings directly within the app at any time. To request full account deletion, contact us at smartracepix@gmail.com.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
